Highline’s Registered
Nursing training program provides an extensive curriculum which includes study
in nursing theory and practice. Participants acquire the practical knowledge
through guided clinical practice in hospitals, long-term care functions and
community health-care agencies. The people who are presently licensed LPNs can

The program is
consistent with the profession: both are mentally and physically challenging.
Successful candidates need to be capable of full tasks in a sequential manner,
remain calm in an emergency, respond quickly and think critically. Involvement
in clinical sites includes background checks and immunizations.
The training program is
endorsed by the Washington State Nursing Care Quality Assurance Commission and
certified by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).
